Gabriela Carrillo founded her eponymous practice in 2019 as a collaborative and interdisciplinary space rooted in architectural practice. She is a co-founder of Colectivo C733, developing public projects throughout Mexico; she was previously a partner at Taller Rocha Carrillo for more than nine years.<\/h1>\n

With more than twenty years of professional experience, she has received numerous distinctions, including the Emerging Voices Award in 2014, the Federico Mariscal Chair, the highest recognition for professional practice awarded by the Faculty of Architecture at UNAM, the M\u00e9daille d’Or of the French Academy of Architecture, Architect of the Year<\/em> by The Architectural Review<\/em> in London in 2017, Architect of the Year<\/em> by Architectural Digest M\u00e9xico<\/em> in 2020, and in 2023 she received the Royal Academy Dorfman Award.<\/h1>\n

She has been a member of Mexico’s National System of Art Creators, and since 2021 has been a full member of the Academy of Architecture of Mexico, Mexico City Chapter. As part of Colectivo C733, she received the 2024 Obel Award for completing 36 public projects in 36 months.<\/h1>\n

She has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture at UNAM since 2003, where she currently directs the RX Studio Research and Degree Seminar. She has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Kent State University, and the WAVE program in Venice, Italy, among others.<\/h1>\n

Her work has been exhibited and awarded at numerous national and international biennials and published in national and international media such as Domus<\/em>, Casabella<\/em>, Arquitectura Viva<\/em>, and The Architectural Review<\/em>, among others.<\/h1>\n
